Situated on the 1.25 acres we bought was a very dilapidated barn which we have virtually rebuilt and converted it into an atmospheric and comfortable studio, adding a disabled friendly toilet and a small kitchen.

Students stay in close-by bed and breakfast accommodation (included in course fee) and take lunch at the Barn. There are several good pubs and restaurants for you to choose from for your evening meal.

Our main source of student accommodation will be the newly converted farm buildings just ten minutes walk across the fields. These are self-catering and have just been awarded a 4 star rating by the Tourist Board - click below for details:

Directions

From the M5 going south

Exit the M5 at junction 24 and follow the sign to Huntworth. After about half a mile, take the right fork signposted Moorland and Burrowbridge. Continue along this narrow road, which follows the River Parrett for most of the way, through Huntworth and Moorland for about 5 miles. Take care of the narrow road and blind bends! Eventually you will approach the main road at Burrowbridge, cross over it into Stathe Road. You are now travelling away from the centre of Burrowbridge and will shortly cross an iron bridge over the river. Just over the bridge please ensure you keep left. Approximately one mile from the main road on the right hand side is Lilac Cottage and if you reach the nursery on your left you have gone too far!

From the M5 going north

Exit at junction 25 and follow the signs to Glastonbury A 361 taking care to turn right at both the traffic lights and on the dual carriageway out of Taunton. Travel through West Lyng, Durston and East Lyng (mind the camera) and just before the traffic lights at Burrowbridge, turn right into Stathe Road signposted Curry Rivel. Now you are in Stathe Road the directions are as above.

From the A303 - either direction.

Exit at the Podimore Roundabout and follow the A372 to Langport - mind the camera as you pass Somerton. After about 5 miles you approach a large church straight ahead which is Huish Episcopi Church on the outskirts of Langport - you will have just past the Rose and Crown on your right. Before you go round the bend in front of the church turn left and follow the road through an arch down into Langport. Go straight along Langport main street and over the bridge. Shortly after exiting the 20 mph and entering to 30 mph zone there is a turning to the right signposted Burrowbridge. Turn right there and follow the road for just over three miles. After passing a small nursery on the right, we are the third house on the left.

By train - go to Taunton or Bridgewater and find yourself a friendly local cabbie!
